Boy Scout Troop 626 is chartered by St. Timothy Lutheran Church and is about 45 boys strong. The Troop has been serving the youth of Northwest Harris County since being founded in 1969 and celebrated its 50 year anniversary in 2020/2021! 

Our Mission:

Troop 626 is committed to providing opportunities for the individual growth of young men, by supporting a boy-led troop that strives to get all new scouts to the rank of First Class within a year, to provide high-adventure, leadership roles, and an excellent merit badge program for our older scouts while they develop into fine young men on their road to Eagle Scout and beyond. 

The Troop is a member of the Red Wolf District in the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Over the span of more than 50 years the Troop has produced almost 200 Eagle scouts, the highest achievement in Scouting. 

The Troop is run and managed by an all-volunteer group of adults who want the best for our youth. The Troop offers monthly campouts and Summer and Winter Camp opportunities. The Troop participates in one or two high adventure camps per year for the older boys (Philmont in New Mexico, Northern Tier High adventure Base in Canada, Florida Sea Base, etc.). 

The Troop meets Monday nights from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm at the St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 14225 Hargrave Rd, Houston, TX 77070.

Troop 626 has many scouts ranging from brand new scouts to those who have earned the highest rank of scouting the eagle scout. We also accept all experience levels from brand new BSA scouts to those who were in cub scouts in first grade.
